All day long
waiting for the end
to begin the weekend.

The party is over ~
the balloons and I
are both deflated.

Blood moon
hidden in clouds
and the Earth’s
shadow.

Storming all day ~
after the rain
the sky’s apology
is pink.

Once again the cycles
spin
and I struggle
to give a damn.

Waiting for hours ~
only to pour
bad yogurt
down the drain.

The Kingdom of Kush
dreaming of date palms
and golden mystery.

Another endless meeting
nothing accomplished
except wasted time.

Waking me
before the alarm ~
my silly old girls
want their treat.

This side of the equinox
evening quickly
gobbles the day.
